Woolley Grange Hotel
The extensive restoration of the historic Woolley Grange Hotel, an imposing Grade II* listed Jacobean manor dating back to the 17th century. Within the mansion house and it’s adjoining buildings the project included refurbishment of 16 bedrooms alongside the design of restaurant, lounge, dining rooms, spa, creche and orangery spaces.
A second phase opening late 2025 includes an additional 8 rooms spilt over two building, with a 5 further suites situated in the walled garden opening in March 2026.
As a leading consultant on the project StudioJill’s scope included Concept Design, Furniture Specification, Project Documentation & Coordination, Bespoke Joinery Design, Artwork Curation and General Styling.
The Conservatory Restaurant was refurbished to create an informal dining space to accommodate up to 34 guests. The design incorporates a nettle pattern fabric inspired by a 16th-century botanical print, offset by a mix of carrot-orange Pyrolave tabletops and bespoke timber tables.
Bespoke joinery throughout the public areas is defined by an honest use of materials alongside expressive exposed junctions and details.
Details of the original building were carefully preserved, with the interior designed to enhance and celebrate it’s unique historic character.
